how to play ROS Legacy
How to play ROS Legacy in Open Beta is a short official sequence: install the Windows zip or the Android APK, create a Mirae ID, sign in, then queue Solo, Duo, or Squad. Skip iOS until the official chooser enables it. Skip every unofficial APK. After you parachute, the published loop is loot, outgun, and outlast on a shrinking battleground of 100 players. This first-drop page orders those facts the way a new player actually needs them, then walks landing, loot, rotation, and the last circle without inventing map names or damage numbers. Official files only: Windows zip or Android APK, then Mirae ID, then Solo, Duo, or Squad. Land, loot, rotate with the storm, and fight when the circle leaves no room. Skip every unofficial APK mirror even when search ads promise a smaller file.

2. Register the Mirae ID
Use mirae-labs.com/register, then mirae-labs.com/login.
3. Queue a mode and drop

Before you queue: files and Mirae ID
Do not launch a match until both pieces exist. The PC file is ROSLegacy_Install_202609251811.zip at 8,251,115,387 bytes. The phone file is RoS-Legacy-2026091811.apk at 108,574,372 bytes. Both URLs sit on dl.roslegacy.net. If you are on iPhone, stop here: Coming Soon means there is still no official package yet. If you are on Android, turn on install-from-this-source only for the official APK, then turn it off again.
Mirae ID is created on mirae-labs.com/register. Username 3–12 letters and numbers, email max 254, password 8–64 with upper, lower, and a digit, plus a birthdate. Sign in on mirae-labs.com/login, then sign in again inside the client. A Discord account, a Facebook login, or an old Rules of Survival ID will not replace that Mirae row. When both the file and the ID work, you are ready to parachute. If register fails, fix the field on Mirae Labs before extracting the Windows zip a second time.
Landing the first parachute
Official art and the homepage both show a squad leaving an aircraft toward a bright coastal island. That is the drop. The site does not name towns, compounds, or a recommended landing marker. For a first match, pick a building cluster you can actually see from the air rather than chasing a community callout that this wiki cannot verify. Solo players should avoid landing on top of a full squad if they can still steer. Keep the aircraft in view until you pick a rooftop you can actually reach.
The published player count is 100. Early contact is likely in dense blocks; late contact is forced by the shrinking storm. If you want a quieter start, steer toward the edge of the island you can see, loot a few buildings, then rotate inward. That is a player plan using the printed 100-player coastal drop, not a Mirae Labs landing chart. If you cannot steer, land anyway, grab a gun, and ping rather than waiting in the air for a named town that is not on the official site.
Loot, then rotate with the storm
The official loop is loot, outgun, outlast. Deep Weapon Arsenal says you will find weapons with attachments, rarities, and squad roles. Grab a gun, a backpack if you see one, and enough healing to survive a rotate. Do not wait for a named “meta” loadout; names are not on the official site. In Duo or Squad, ping loot you cannot use so a teammate can take the role. Share attachments by ping, not by guessing a name the site never printed.
Shrinking Storm Zone is the clock. When the field closes, move. Holding a pretty rooftop outside the next circle is how you donate the match. The site does not print storm tick damage or circle lengths, so leave earlier than you would in a game whose numbers you already know. Use roads and open ground only as much as you must. The feature blurb already warns that maps swing from rooftop sniping to close-quarters: expect both on the same rotate. Ping the next building before you sprint so Duo or Squad partners are not left in the old circle.
Final circle, revives, and fair play
Late game is the same 100-player ruleset with less dirt left. Squads still have pings, revives, and shared loadouts. Revive before you greed a third-party if your teammate is down inside the zone. Solo has no backup, which is exactly the official Solo line. Keep one eye on the storm edge; the published design is that the circle forces fights, not that you can infinite-heal outside it.
Advanced Anti-Cheat is on every match. Play the official build. After the match, if you want mechanical notes, open gameplay. If you still need the installer, return to download or mobile. If a friend sent a ROS Origin or ROS Reborn link, read Other ROS before you install a second client. Official Release remains undated; Open Beta is the mode you are learning in now. One clean official install plus one Mirae ID is the whole first-hour setup. After a win or a fast death, install nothing else; the same official file is still the client.
